2019 Edition - Blend of 2016 and 2017 spontaneous vintages, bottled in 2019.
Top notes of under-ripe peach wash into vibrant and complex acidity and gentle barnyard funk before a dry, clean finish refreshes.
Our second Home blend features two vintages of coolshipped beer fermented only using the native microflora in the Glen Fyne atmosphere. This year's blend has a bold, sour and elegant profile from beers originally brewed in 2016 and 2017, aged in oak barrels to develop in flavour and complexity.
The blending process involved tasting over thirty barrels from 2016, 2017 and 2018 spontaneous brews, before electing to leave the 2018 vintage out of the 2019 blend in order to further develop. From the twenty-or-so remaining barrels, Head of Origins Brewing Pawel carefully choose a small number that produced this year's exciting, gueuze-inspired spontaneous Home blend.
Our Home beers are incredibly special to us - they are as pure an expression of our Glen Fyne location as we can possibly brew, putting our trust in our ecosystem to produce elegant, flavourful beer, with a sense of place in every drop.
