Scotland's first gueuze-inspired blend of 2015, 2016 and 2017 vintages of spontaneously fermented beers, and the first in a new series of fully spontaneously fermented Scottish farm beers, Home 3-Year blend is a celebration of who we are and where we come from as a brewery.
The story of Home starts in 2015 with our friends Pam & Rob from Inver, who during the preparations for brewing a collaboration for their restaurant, suggested we brew "a Scottish lambic" inspired by their time spent in Belgium. Unsure if a coolship experiment would work, we reserved a smallpart of the wort from the brew and cooled it overnight in our original brewery, capturing wild, native microflora from the environment before racking the cooled wort into clean oak barrels where it fermented and aged for three years before blending with subsequent coolshipped brews in 2018 to create our first 3-Year Blend.
