5% – Modern Cask IPA

Mixtape IPA is a West Coast banger brewed for cask in collaboration with our friends at Yakima Chief Hops. Simcoe and Idaho 7 bring bold citrus and ripe stone fruit, layered with piney, resinous character from two experimental hops—HBC 638 and HBC 522—reminiscent of the classic American hops we all love. It’s punchy, aromatic, and full of that old-school-meets-new-school West Coast energy.

The Mixtape IPA series sees us set out to find the perfect, modern cask IPA. Back in early 2020, our brewers launched the Mixtape IPA series, designed as an exploration of what a modern IPA brewed for cask should be. After a short hiatus, the series was revived in 2022 with a brand new base recipe upon which we're exploring hop combinations and flavours to find the ultimate modern cask IPA.
